Whether to rent or buy a computer is a decision that needs to be thought through thoroughly before making the final choice. There are times when renting a computer makes much more sense than buying one. More and more people are choosing to rent a computer instead of splurging on technology that will be upstaged in a short while.

Leasing Or Renting Computers

Most Updated Equipment – Renting a computer ensures that you get the most up to date equipment that is available in the market. When your lease expires, you can choose to get the most avant-garde version on rent then. Technology gets obsolete very quickly and this way you can choose the rental that is cheapest, fastest and newest.

Monthly Expenditure is Fixed – One great benefit of renting a computer is that budgeting becomes easier as you know exactly how much the rental will cost you at the end of the month.

No Down Payment – Most rental computer stores ask for no down payment. If you are running on a shoe string budget or if you would rather keep the liquidated amount for some other purpose, renting a computer becomes a viable option for you.

Trying Sophisticated Technology – In the business front, most of your competitors will be using avant-garde technology like Voice over Internet Protocol or VoIP to further their business. With rental services, you can also try newer technology out without having to shell out a large sum.

Maintenance Benefits – A good rental company will include all maintenance costs in the rental contract itself. Technology like computers can be quite delicate and maintenance costs can be high depending on the problem. Rental computers negate the need for repair equipment and fees for technicians as all this is covered in the contract itself.

Buying a Computer

Paperwork –Once you zero in on the computer of your choice, all you have to do is find a good deal and make the purchase. On the other hand, renting involves some paperwork. This isn’t a big problem as a good rental company will help you cut through all the messy paperwork with ease.

High Investment – The onetime cost of the computer can be quite high when you have to pay it upfront. Even if you purchase it through installments, you will have to cough up a substantial amount as down payment toward the equipment. If your budget does not permit such a high deduction at once, buying may not be a great option for you.

Obsolete Technology – Newer and better technology is always in the pipeline. When you choose to buy a computer, you might end up with a piece of equipment that will become a liability in a few years. instead of spending a large chunk of your money on a piece of equipment that will be old and dilapidated within a couple of years, you can simply opt for rental leases so that you can keep using the most up to date computer that will give you an edge over your competitors.

Bad Retailer – A good retailer can make things much easier for you in the long run. It is important to look for the right retailer who meets your needs. Some retailers are financing companies who are not really interested or good at the repair and maintenance aspect of technology. You will need to find a retailer who offers you a good deal, is genuine and is ready to solve all your repair and maintenance needs. If you have chosen to rent the computer, the rental company will have offered you repair and replacement benefits so that you don’t incur any downtime costs.

Overhead Costs – Once you have purchased a computer, you will also have to pay up personal property taxes and other licensing costs which you wouldn’t have to bother with if you had rented it.

Disposal Mayhem – If you have bought a computer, you will have to dispose it off in the right way. Often this means more expense for you. With a rental computer, you do not have to worry about this issue.

The answer to the question, ‘Should I buy or rent a computer?’ entirely depends on what your requirements and financial status. In general, if you have a low budget, it might make sense to rent computer to escape the high upfront payment while buying. Rental computers open up a new no strings attached set of options for you to choose from. You will be able to find the very best equipment that fits all your needs at a fraction of what the original would have cost you upfront. Find all the most up to date information and the best rental computer options at AARental.com.

3D video has become the latest fad among shutterbugs; however a comparatively cheaper video tool that can revolutionize the way people shoot is what is grabbing the headlines these days. Developed by EyeSee360, this smart recording tool can record every action in a complete circle as in a doughnut literally! The person who is watching the video can pan around and catch up with every bit of action by using a mouse.

This video camera would make the wedding picas and sports recording refreshingly different that would unravel a few eye popping actions and vivacity in every shot. For instance the wedding toast shot by an ordinary lens would give you only the glimpse of the best man and few people near him. However if you could pan around, you can capture the expressions of the guests and the bride and the groom, which would make it much more lively and personalized.

The high end version for serious cameras called GoPano Plus is priced at $700, however the cheaper version that is made for iPhone called the GoPano Micro, which is available for $80 has created much interest among everyone. A perfect choice for camera mount designers, this lens would give straight shots apart from left and right angle shots , which can give a dramatic 3D visual experience. This could change the way you see the formula one car race or the aerobatic planes in the near future .

First, the camera records a distorted image on a mirror mounted at 360 degree on to the lens . The GoPano software then streams this image into a continuous 360-degree video output. As it is only in early phases, slight glitches and teething trouble can be very much expected. However , in general, the lens and iPhone app work perfectly and this could be a great tool for amateurs to shoot amazing 360 degree videos for You tube and other podcasts without stretching their budget a wee bit.

A newer version of the app that will enable you to upload video directly from the phone will make the whole video shooting simple and enjoyable. If the price still comes down and if there are hardware options that would let the users mount the Go Pano lens on their helmets or bike handle bars , it would make videography truly high speed and exciting.

In case you want to try it out for yourselves, video rental options would be a good choice as you can explore the possibilities of this new tool before deciding on whether to purchase it or not. There are many reputed video rental companies online that offer most of the latest gadgets on rentals. In case you are planning to make video photography your passion or profession, it would be the best way to get started without breaking your bank. Pan, zoom or go wild with the video shooting mode to explore the umpteen possibilities that you knew even existed!

Visit AA-Rental.com to know everything on video equipments and rentals and change the way you see the world through the lens!

Description: Most basic laptop computer repairs can be done with a basic set of tools and rules to follow. We can help you with both.

Before taking on any laptop computer repair, take a minute and read this article. We can help you avoid costly mistakes that could leave you with a worthless, non-working laptop computer.

One huge mistake that many people make when taking on a laptop computer repair is to just barge right into it, opening up the laptop and making a general mess of things. First, step back and assess the situation. Figure out exactly what it is that you need to repair, make an action plan, and then line up the tools that you will need for the job.

For most repairs, we have found that it is good to have this basic set of tools:

A Philips Head Screwdriver, type 0

A Philips Head Screwdriver, type 1

A pair of long-nosed tweezers

An electrostatic discharge (ESD) mat

OR a grounded ESD wrist strap

A pair of needle nose pliers

A Teflon splade or wedge

Next, take a look around you. Eliminate the danger of static electricity which can ruin your computer before you know it. If you can at all avoid tackling your laptop repair in a carpeted room, do so. Use your garage or even your kitchen if you need to, so long as you can avoid working near carpet which is has a high static electricity risk factor.

As you know, always back up your computer laptop hard drive; just in case.

Turn your laptop off and unplug the power cord. Remove your laptop battery and the hard drive. This should help prevent you from receiving a painful shock, especially if you are working with the LCD and its backlight inverter.

As far as the ESD mat and grounded ESD wrist strap are concerned, the average person probably will not have either. However, if you plan on making repair laptop computer repairs, these tools are well worth the investment. Even a cheap laptop is worth something; certainly more than either of these tools. Without them, you could fry your laptop, so ahead and get some.

Helpful Reminders:

If a device does not need to be disassembled, then don’t do it.

Always do the work in a clean environment.

Test the device before beginning the repair.

Figure out how all connectors work before disconnecting them.

Always use the right tools for the job.

Do NOT use your screwdrivers to pry up or otherwise remove plastic pieces.

Keep any disassembled parts in a safe place.

If a part refuses to move for you, check for hidden screws that you might have missed.

Jot down notes for yourself as you disassemble the device – do not trust everything to memory.

Keep screws with the parts they were taken from – use Scotch tape for this if necessary.

Put the correct size screws back into each part when reassembling the device.

Check and re-check all connectors as you go along – make sure that they really are fastened.

Take your time – this is no race.

Since there are so many different computer laptop models on the market, this handy tip page is put together with an eye for common practices. Make sure that you have a manual on your specific model on hand.

Every other day a new laptop is launched by some or the other company. As demand from consumers is growing, companies are trying hard to integrate as many functions as possible on the small sized keyboard. To provide better mobility, laptops come equipped with touchpad rather than a mouse. However, novice users find it difficult to use the touchpad and at times accidentally turn-off the touchpad causing much discomfort to them.

What Makes Touchpad Unresponsive

Accidentally pressing combination keys is what usually makes a touchpad unresponsive. For instance, if you have a baby or kid at home, trying to ape father or mother, the kid may simply press numerous keys at once deactivating the laptop’s touchpad. Cats who are into nasty habit of walking over things may also deactivate the touchpad accidentally. Or if you placed your elbow or entire hand on the laptop, then it is possible that the touchpad might have got deactivated by mistake. Reasons can be many. A touchpad does not stop functioning or responding suddenly. You will observe its erratic behavior for some time before it stops functioning completely. Unless someone has literally hammered the touchpad, there is no other possible explanation for sudden unresponsiveness of the touchpad.

How to make it Work?

The solution to this problem is very simple. Today’s laptops have a standard keyboard with dedicated function keys. Each function key or hotkey is associated with a particular task. In many laptops, these functions can be changed, however in most cases; a task associated with a particular function key cannot be changed. In order to use a function key, you need to press the function key labeled Fn (usually located to the left of Windows key) and press another hotkey associated with a particular task. For instance, Fn + Up Arrow key increases the volume and Fn + Down Arrow key decreases the volume.

Touchpad is also controlled by one such combination function key and if the touchpad of your laptop suddenly becomes unresponsive, try the following key combinations depending on the make of your laptop –

Apple – Fn + F2

Toshiba – Fn + F9 or F10

Acer – Fn + F7

Asus – Fn + F3 or Fn + F7

Dell – Fn + F7

If no such combination is working, it is possible that there is a dedicated touchpad lock key for your laptop. It usually is located just besides the touchpad and glows when activated. Simply press it gently to activate the touchpad. If nothing works, go to Control Panel, and click on Devices. Under devices, select Pointing Devices and ascertain if it is deactivated. If so, just activate the device and you should be good to go.

Laptops are evolving at a breakneck speed and it is becoming impossible for many people to keep pace with the developments. It is also becoming impossible to buy latest configuration laptop every time something new hits the market. Under such circumstances, it makes sense to rent a laptop from a reputed company like AA-Rental.com. In business since 1996, the company has been providing laptop rental services to all kinds of clientele at the most affordable rates. You too can benefit from us.

Even several years after the introduction of plasma television sets, there is still a lot of confusion and myth surrounding the comparison between plasma and liquid crystal display (LCD) sets. How does one determine which type of set best fits their needs?

The question cannot be answered simply by stating that one type of set is superior to the other. The answer will always be subjective; the one that is best is the one that best meets your individual needs. In order to determine which set that is, it helps to know some basic information about both types of televisions.

At first blush, Plasma and LCD televisions seem the same: both have a thin profile, flat screens and can be hung on the wall. Both look modern and hip. They have similar screen resolution, input types and other attributes, but their technologies are vastly different. We could use a lot of high-browed technical jargon to discuss the differences between the two, but really, you just care about what all of that means to you. So here we go.

The pixels in a plasma set are made up of phosphor lined cells filled with neon gas and xenon. Each pixel has a blue, green and red component which work together to reproduce the whole color spectrum. They are an emissive display technology, which means that it is self illuminating.

On the other hand, LCD sets are a transmissive display. This means that the light is not produced by the LCD crystals, but from a separate light source behind them. A diffusion panel is then used to scatter that light across and through the crystals which are sandwiched between two transparent panels.

Within both types of set, there is a huge variation in the quality of individual sets, but using this very elementary explanation of the difference between plasma and LCD, we can go on to compare the pros and cons of both types of set.

Plasma TV advantages:

The three most obvious advantages Plasma has over LCD sets are their wide viewing angles, faster response time and ability to produce very good black levels.

Plasma televisions have a wider viewing angle than LCD’s, meaning that even a viewer positioned to an extreme side, top or bottom of the screen will enjoy a bright, sharp picture. LCD’s lost brightness and clarity when viewed from extreme angles, though this is improving with newer and newer models.

When mentioning a faster response time, we refer to the time it takes a pixel in the plasma screen to change from black to white, then back to black again. Plasma sets are generally better able to handle fast motion images such as video games or sports broadcasts than LCD’s.

By a better black level, we mean that when you view a black image on a plasma set, it is closer to a true black than an LCD set. You will also see better contrast and detail in the black images: such as a dark scene in a television show. LCD sets are unable to block the light coming from the light source behind the screen, so blacks will really appear gray, dark gray or even blue. LCD sets are improving, but plasma sets will most likely remain better because of the nature of their illumination.

There was a myth that a plasma television set would only last about five years or so before the plasma gas leaked and needed to be replaced. This may have been true with earlier models, but is no longer the case. Even if something were to ever happen, the panel can be refilled, recharged or repaired.

Another myth was that if you were to leave an image on a plasma screen for a couple of hours, it would burn into the screen. While this is possible, it is rare. However, if you watch only one channel every day for weeks upon end, it could happen. If that is the case, you might opt for the LCD television set.

LCD TV Advantages:

LCD sets are physically light, produce a brighter picture, are more energy efficient and most models have an anti-reflective screen.

LCD sets are physically lighter than plasma televisions because they are made with one panel rather than two. Both can still be hung on the wall with care, but a plasma television will be heavier and more awkward to move.

LCD televisions are brighter than plasma televisions. Though this is not always an advantage, it can be in certain situations. Many times, a television with lower brightness will display a better picture in low light situations, but in bright rooms a brighter screen can be more easily viewed. Part of this is because of the plasma’s highly reflective screen. Most LCD sets have a flat finish or anti-reflective screen which makes it a better choice for a bright room.

A more-energy efficient LCD television can help lower your electricity bill. It makes you greener. Energy efficiency also extends the life of your electronic devices. The less energy a television uses, the less it has to work and the longer it lasts. Plasma televisions are less energy efficient and produce more heat than LCD sets and this is why an LCD set can outlast a plasma set.

LCD televisions were historically more expensive than their plasma counter-parts, but that is changing due largely in part to the ability of manufacturers to drive down production costs.

Our Final Verdict:

While it is difficult to definitively state which television is better, or that you should invest in one type of set rather than the other, we like the plasma set better. It’s a close call, but in our opinion, it just has a better picture; one that has a more natural appearance and accurate color, and lets us enjoy the dark scenes in our favorite shows movies that much more than the LCD model. The plasma can keep up with our favorite football games, as well as our personal gaming systems.

However, everyone has different viewing needs and a different viewing situation. Keep the points made in this article in mind when you are making a decision about what to invest in for yourself.

Projector installation in churches is challenging in more than one ways. As every church is unique in terms of lighting requirement, size and placement, the projector needs to be installed keeping all these things in mind.

Most churchgoers visit the place of worship for connecting themselves with the higher being and not for watching HD images. This is where most people go wrong. Just to make more profits, most dealers sell HD projectors to churches where they are not required at all. The approach should be different in each case and need to be done as follows.

First, it is imperative that you attend few meetings to get an overall feel of the requirements. General things to be observed are – number of people attending the service, the amount of ambient lighting and where the projector needs to be placed. Attending only once is not enough. That is something only a professional can do.

Understand the Architecture

Churches are not just places of worship. Churches are also architectural marvels and you would not like to tarnish it by placing the projector at the most inappropriate place. You can do certain things in this regard. Try to ascertain if a rear projector is feasible. Placing the projector behind the altar is a good option if sufficient place is available for projector screen or the projection wall. Space is also there near classrooms or above offices for placement of the projector. All you need to do is to find a suitable diagonally opposite space where the images can be projected either on a retractable projection screen or a wall. Pole mounted projector should be the last option as it not only hinders the clear view of other parishioners but all creates an obstruction for free movement.

Approach a projector dealer with all these requirements and ask him to suggest a suitable type of projector. Do not forget to mention how much ambient light is present as too much of ambient light will diminish the quality of images.

It is also possible that you may not be able to place the projector exactly at the center of the room or in the centre line of the projector screen. Under such circumstances, you can go for a lens shift projector, which does not require central placement. If the projector is ceiling mounted and also not at the center, then you may have to choose the projector with axis projection capabilities.

Projectors also can be installed near pillar or beams or other tall structures. This keeps them hidden from public eye, yet delivering crystal clear images. But again, do not forget to take into consideration the lens shift and axis projector capabilities.

Lenses also need to be selected keeping in mind the shortcomings of the setting. For instance, you may need a zoom lens if the distance between projector and screen is large. Conversely, a short-throw lens will be needed if it is too small.

Why Buy When You Can Rent

Churches and religious places do require projectors for certain occasions, but their use is limited. This means for most of the time, the projector would be lying idle. Not only this is wastage of funds, the projector may develop snags and become outdated within a short period. It thus makes sense to rent a projector as and when needed rather than buying it. AA-Rental.com has been providing projectors on rental basis to all kinds of clients for more than 15 years. Just call us and tell your requirement. Our representative will visit the setting and determine which projector suits the best. Then, it just letting us know that you are in need of a projector. It will be delivered and installed for temporary use at the premise. You also can rent projector screen if the need arises. And yes, our rental rates are most competitive in the market.

Irrespective of the fact that processor powers used in computers are increasing exponentially and operating systems are becomes extremely efficient and fast, computers tend to become slow after some time. New or freshly formatted computers with newly installed operating systems slow down after some time. There is absolutely nothing wrong with your computer hardware if it has slowed down recently. In all probability, one of the following things is slowing down your computer. Read on –

Resources Under Strain

The moment you buy a computer, you start transferring music, videos, picture and games from your old system to a new one. You also download lot of things from the internet. A new computer or a freshly installed operating system has very little to manage. However, the moment you add lot of data to the hard disk, resources like drive space and data fetching become strained affecting the performance of the computer. The registry, which is an index used by operating system for fetching data also gets crammed with data. All these things are responsible for the impeded speed.

Fixing these errors is not easy for a layman. You may have to delete redundant registry entries and defragment the hard drive. Moreover, if you make a mistake in doing any of these, you may end up damaging your system significantly. An easier way out is to use utility programs like Registry Mechanic or System Mechanic which will carry out these tasks effectively. Few Security Suite’s also have these inbuilt functions, but it is recommended to have separate utilities for such critical tasks.

Malwares and Spywares

Many websites and third party software programs surreptitiously install malware or a spyware on your computer’s hard disk. These software programs essentially use RAM and internet bandwidth for various non-essential and possibly malicious processes. Spywares not only hamper the speed, they also steal personal information like social security number, address, phone numbers and credit card details from your system.

The only way to get rid of such malicious software programs is to keep your computer protected with help of spyware and malware protection programs. Anti-viruses and integrated security suites usually are equipped to handle such threats and prevent your computer from slowing down or from related threats.

Insufficient RAM

Random Access Memory or RAM or the primary memory is the one of the most critically important components of your system. As today’s programs like games, videos, and software are memory guzzlers, running two or three such programs simultaneously can slow down your computer. Fancy wallpaper and theme management programs also eat into RAM. Upgrading RAM can help in speeding up your computer.

Critical Updates

Periodically, operating system makers like Microsoft and Apple release critical updates for the OS. These critical updates not only fix the loopholes in the system – which can be exploited by hackers and crackers – they also fine tune the all the processes which speed up the processes. This in turn enhances the overall performance of the system.

Redundant Data

Over a period of time, programs, files and other downloads clutter the hard disk wrecking havoc with the indexing system. This considerably slows down the speed and data fetching mechanism takes a hit. The problem can be fixed by defragmenting the drive which rearranges the entire data on the hard drive. If the hard drive has bad clusters (damaged parts), it also can slow down the system. Numerous third party tools can be used for defragmenting the drive, however caution needs to be exercised before using them.

Universal Solution

The best solution for all these problems is to rent a computer rather than buying it. Rented computers always come equipped with Security Suites and best configurations. Furthermore, it is also essential that you rent a computer from a reputed company. www.AA-Rental.com, a subsidiary or Mr Video Inc fits the bill perfectly. You periodically can change the entire system so that you always have access to the latest system. Renting a computer makes more sense in this rapidly changing technological world.

Sound systems in churches need to be effectively set up. Although it is quite easy to think about a sound system that is loud enough, in a large location such as church, just a system that makes noise is not enough. Moreover, many dealers provide sound systems that start to malfunction in the churches because they aren’t set up properly.

There is a great need of sound systems in any church sanctuary. However, the requirement of each church is different and so the choices of sound systems should be made depending upon the requirement. Just bringing a noise-making sound system won’t help at all.

As the sound system is an important device that is not required at all times, it is important to think about rental options as well.

Common Problems with Church Sound Systems

Out of Balance: In case of low ceilings and a space that uses various delays to manage coverage, the sound system may go out of balance. The need in such circumstances is to check the system processor and fix it with necessary appendages. Streamlining the equalization levels may also help.

Board outputs not working properly: Faulty loudspeaker configuration may render a much lower volume in some areas of the room. Check if the speaker in front of the mix position is in too low levels while the rest is at high volume. Working on it by patching up system output can ensure that the levels are corrected.

Wireless problems: Wireless problems are very common too. Look for the wireless systems that have the harmful 700 MHz band. Use separate wireless microphones (of around 500 MHz) to see if it rectifies the problem. If not, perform scans in different frequency ranges. This will let you see if the spectrum swaths are jammed with RF “hash”. The external RFs must be diminished for a greater sound quality.

Different Church, Different Needs

As a matter of fact, all churches are not equally spacious and hence their sound system needs are different. While sound system may be a must for bigger churches, the smaller ones may not need a sound system at all. Therefore, to determine which sound system would be better to use according to the needs, the churches should get professional help as soon as possible. This will not only make their arrangements more effective but it can also save enough funds from being spent needlessly.

Look for Cheaper options

It is unwise to spend a lot of money on sound systems when you don’t need to buy the,. There are many smaller churches out there that do not need any sound system or need them occasionally. If you don’t need a bigger sound system and your requirement is only in case of some occasions, consider sound system rentals. AA-Rentals.com has been providing PA systems rental to interested parties for the last 15 years so that you enjoy the benefits of avant-garde systems without worrying about the large start-up purchase cost.
